RESTAURATION
Our workshop offers a full cycle of complicated repair and restoration works for the cabinets of pianos and grand pianos, their surfaces, mechanical parts and acoustics – a complex of works or any separate items.
If your instrument has lost its appearance in the course of time, an experienced master will paint, varnish and polish its cabinet by modern materials and according to the latest technologies.
He will re-establish the polish of metallic parts.
If you wish, the old surface of your instrument cabinet can be replaced fully.
If needed, the frame of the instrument will be treated. The surface of the frame will be carefully puttied and sanded by thin sandpaper and covered by golden paint.
The sounding-board will be repaired and lacquered. The sounding-board will be sanded to prepare it, then covered by lacquer to protect it from moisture.
Pin-block, change of hammers and strings. Pin-block – it is a plate serving to hold hammers and sustaining the tension of strings. Its stability is important for the stability of tuning.
Our master will perform capital repairs of mechanical parts (including the change of tunes, hammers, dampers, etc.), as well as preventive repairs, tuning up, intonation, regulation.
